Robyn Sefiani

Founder, Executive Chair and Reputation Counsel

Robyn established Sefiani Communications Group in 1999 with the goal of being a world’s best practice public relations firm, providing corporate leaders with highly effective communications counsel and services through a dedicated, personal approach.

With over 30 years’ experience, Robyn has advised some of Australia’s and the world’s leading companies in strategic communications and issues and crisis management. Prior to Sefiani, Robyn was President of the South Asia region of global public relations firm Edelman, and responsible for the company’s operations in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia and an affiliate network spanning 14 major cities in Asia-Pacific. She was also on the global Board of Edelman.

Robyn graduated with Distinction from Charles Sturt University. She is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Public Relations Institute of Australia, and served for many years on the board of Special Olympics Australia.


Justin Clark

Managing Director

As Managing Director, Justin leads Sefiani’s agency operations and development of innovative services, partnerships and specialty practice areas. He also leads Sefiani’s Financial Communications & Government Relations practice, and is a specialist in major financial transaction communications, M&As and IPOs, privatisations, infrastructure and community engagements projects.

He also manages multi-stakeholder and government engagement projects, internal stakeholder engagement, and C-suite / Board-level communications and reputation management.

Justin has held leadership positions in both agency and client-side, including as Managing Director of FTI Consulting Australia, and has 20 years’ experience advising Australian and international businesses across Asia, Europe and the US. He has been responsible for developing and leading successful teams and projects that have built, transformed and safeguarded reputations of Australian and global businesses.


Nick Owens


Nick leads the firm’s Public Affairs and Investor Relations practices, providing strategic communications counsel to clients in the financial services, health insurance, energy, government and education sectors. He advises on issues and crisis management assignments across Sefiani’s client portfolio, and has a strong understanding of the interplay between government, industry and financial markets.

Prior to joining Sefiani, Nick held a senior role with a global public relations consultancy in Tokyo, working with multinational clients including General Electric, GE Capital, British Telecommunications, Microsoft, British Airways and Qantas. He previously worked in the media and public affairs team of Austrade, the export promotion arm of the Australian Government.

He obtained an Honours Degree in Physics at the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from RMIT University.


Sarah Craig


Sarah leads the Corporate Communications practice at Sefiani where she manages national stakeholder communications programs for blue-chip clients in the banking and financial services, retail, property and human capital sectors. Formerly a London-based financial analyst and institutional stockbroker, Sarah has 20 years’ international experience as a senior communications practitioner, specialising in financial and business communications, investor relations, brand reputation and employee communications.

Sarah’s seasoned communications counsel has supported some of Australia’s largest transactions, including: Qantas IPO; and ICI PLC’s sale of its Australian asset, Orica.  In recent years, she has managed IR programs for several large ASX-listed corporations, including Capral, McGuigan Wines, Thakral Holdings Group and Customers Limited.

Sarah has an SII certification in Investment Management, Securities and Financial Derivatives, UKSIP Investment Management.



Client Services Director

As Client Services Director, Shane is responsible for managing large client accounts and building client services teams who can bring the best of our innovative skills and services to help solve clients’ most pressing strategic issues. His expertise lies in helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments, cross-agency engagements where a range of technical skills are required to solve a client issue, and integrated communications strategies that bridge internal business unit silos. Shane was recognised as the Mumbrella CommsCon PR Professional of the Year 2018, and holds a Masters of Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.


Creative Lead

David is a communications expert with over 10 years’ experience across healthcare, technology and consumer finance. He has led a variety of successful creative campaigns championing behaviour change and raising awareness of important issues, encompassing traditional and social media, and the development of integrated campaigns. David led the healthcare team at a global PR agency for four years and was responsible for providing clients with strategic counsel to achieve their communication objectives across the pharmaceutical, NFP and consumer health sectors. David has also worked across the banking, insurance and food sectors.

With over 40 years of stockbroking experience in Australia, South Africa and the United States and as founder and former Managing Director of Shaw Stockbroking, Harold has a wealth of expertise in capital markets. He was voted Stockbroker of the Year and a Member of the Australian Stockbrokers’ Hall of Fame by the Australian Stockbroking Foundation in 2009.

With his vast knowledge and experience in capital markets, Harold is well placed to assist clients seeking to connect with institutional fund managers, stockbrokers & research analysts.


Content & Digital Specialist

Geoff has launched and driven to market leadership a number of major national magazine brands, custom magazines and digital content marketing programs, and has led business transformation and change programs with highly successful outcomes. He is an expert in the development and implementation of insights-driven content strategy: practical, actionable planning and audience-focused creative content to deliver high-performance outcomes for clients.

As a former media and agency executive with many years’ experience in B2B and consumer publishing and multi-channel marketing, Geoff has led award-winning media brands in Australia, the UK and Asia. More recently, Geoff was Client Services and Publishing Director of a leading Australian content marketing agency, with clients spanning a number of the highest-profile brands in Australia.


Crisis and Issues Management Specialist

Robert Luttrell is an independent corporate communications consultant who has worked with Sefiani on a number of projects dating back to 2003.

A lawyer by training, Robert has over 25 years’ international experience in issues & crisis management, investor relations and media training.

Prior to establishing his own consulting practice, he was Director of Issues & Crisis Management at Edelman and at The Rowland Company and before that Head of Corporate Affairs at Prudential, the UK insurer.


High-Stakes Communication, Expert Facilitation

An award winning communication management consultant, Jane has international experience spanning 30 years in high-stakes communication. She is the author of the highly acclaimed book, The Four Highly Effective Stages of Crisis Management: How to manage the media in the digital age, featuring Jane’s groundbreaking approach to crisis management which Sefiani clients have access to.

As a Master Trainer and Coach, Jane achieves unrivaled results from adult learners, and as a facilitator, she is a dynamic, flexible and pragmatic leader and approaches everything she does with a great deal of flair, enthusiasm and passion.


Media Trainer

With a background as a journalist and communications specialist at the ABC, SBS and various private news organisations spanning more than 20 years, Christine is an accredited media trainer, and is well-placed to guide clients in preparation for interviews, message development, handling tricky questions and responding to crises.


Travel & Tourism Specialist

Jill Collins is a senior specialist who advises companies in the travel and tourism industry on strategic and creative responses to their communications issues. Over the past 10 years Jill has played a significant role providing senior counsel and communications strategy for a number of Sefiani’s travel and tourism clients.

With more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and corporate communications and issues management, she has worked in both local and global markets, across a range of tourism clients including Destinations, Online Services, Aviation, and Hotels. Jill spearheaded Hamilton Island’s on-island communications campaign for Best Job In the World and the PR program for Oprah Winfrey’s visit to the island, and previously worked with global communications firm Edelman, where she managed their Tourism Practice from the Chicago head office, and was Managing Director of the Australian arm.


Marketing Strategy and Brand Adviser

Dianne’s strategy and marketing career spans more than 25 years in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe. She has built a reputation within the Australian market as one of the foremost practitioners in professional and financial services marketing – with specialist expertise in marketing strategy, business development and branding. Dianne has consulted to many of Australia’s and the world’s leading professional and financial services organisations on marketing and brand strategy, including KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Commonwealth Bank, St.George Bank and Computershare.

Dianne has worked closely with Sefiani for a number of years, especially in the areas of brand differentiation and marketing strategy for professional service firms.


Digital and Healthcare Specialist

Jane is a healthcare, government communications and digital specialist at Sefiani. Formerly an Associate Director of worldwide communications firm Kreab, and the Director of Communications at NSW Ministry of Health, Jane provides more than 13 years of media experience.

Jane was recently part of the founding team behind innovative superannuation startup, GROW Super, boasting the first marketing campaign by a superannuation fund to ever go viral with its launch campaign featuring The Betoota Advocate. She has previously held positions as Media Director at Australian Customs and Border Protection Service, and Senior Media Adviser at the Australian Taxation Office.


Media Trainer

Sonia provides media and presentation skills training and advice to a wide range of clients in the corporate, government and community sectors.

A former ABC radio journalist and news executive, Sonia covered NSW and federal politics, before moving to Europe as a freelance journalist.

She has experience in managing organizational reputations, both in Australia and globally. Sonia has a passion for designing and delivering training that supports strategic organisational and communication goals.


Financial Advisory Specialist

Keith Peel is professional trainer, coach and communications consultant with a particular focus on financial and professional services. His working relationship with Sefiani began at the agency’s inception in 1999.

Keith spent ten years as the Head of Best Practice at the Commonwealth Bank, and specialises in branding, communication and thought leadership for professional services.

His passion lies in helping financial advisers build their reputation as trusted advisers. In 2015, he published a book, “It’s not about the money”, based on research and interviews with 25 of Australia’s most respected and awarded financial advisers about how they create value for their clients.
