Sefiani supports St.George Foundation charity ball November 2009
Sefiani client St.George Bank recently held its annual St.George Foundation Crystal Ball at the Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. The Ball was attended by over 600 people, including Sefiani Managing Director Robyn Sefiani and Director Sarah Craig, with Sefiani making a donation to the Foundation on the night.
The St.George Foundation is a national charity that seeks to provide the best possible future for young Australians with special needs. Since 1990, over $13 million has been distributed to hundreds of charities to fund programs that improve the lives of disabled and disadvantaged Australian children.
The Ball was a night of celebration to mark the Foundation’s achievements over the past year and involved a surprise performance from ARIA nominee and Australian singer/songwriter Jessica Mauboy while former Wallaby legend Phil Kearns kept the crowd entertained as MC for the evening. Other guests in attendance included The Hon. Kevin Green (Minister for Sports, Gaming and Racing and Member for Hurstville), Julie Anthony (Order of Australia), Danny Robinson (Director, St. George Illawarra Football Club), Rod Jackson (CFO, Westpac) and, of course, Happy the Dragon.
St.George Bank Managing Director Greg Bartlett said he was pleased to see such strong attendance and support for the Foundation at the Crystal Ball.
“St.George has been fortunate enough over the past 19 years to be able to give back to those children in need through the St.George Foundation and this Ball is a genuine reflection of the commitment our staff and community.
“We look forward to continuing this support for many years to come and hope that we encourage others to do what they can to help disadvantaged Australians regardless of their situation,” Greg said.
Robyn Sefiani said the Foundation has been a true success with almost $2 million raised last year alone.
“From both a personal and professional perspective, I believe corporate social responsibility is a vital component of Australian business and it’s wonderful to see what St.George has been able to achieve through the Foundation in helping kids with social, mental and physical disadvantage,” Robyn said.
